Fortnite OG Season Update Patch Notes

Epic Games launches Fortnite Chapter 4: OG Season, morphing gamers back to the 2018's Chapter 1 landscape filled with nostalgic weapons, loot, and transport. Despite being the fifth installment, OG Season signifies a rewind to the 2018 Fortnite ambiance. The Assault Rifle and Pump Shotgun, among others, make a comeback in both Zero Build and regular Battle Royale modes, as players relive different periods of Chapter 1 through updates. Reviving the classic map and weapons, Fortnite OG promises to teleport players back to various traditional times. Here's a brief synopsis of each forthcoming Chapter 1 season update in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5, together with their launch dates.

FORTNITE OG SEASON SCHEDULE DATES

Before we delve into the details of each week and season, here's an overview of the original Fortnite season schedule:

FORTNITE OG WEEK 1: SEASON 5

Fortnite OG's debut season is Season 5. Key features include vehicles such as the Shopping Kart and All Terrain Kart (popularly referred to as the golf kart), in addition to items like the Damage Trap, Grappler, and Boogie Bomb. It also showcases weapons such as the Pump Shotgun, Hunting Rifle, and Assault Rifle.

FORTNITE OG WEEK 2: SEASON 6

The Season 6 of Fortnite OG is slated for release between Thursday, November 9, and Thursday, November 16. This season, synonymous with the "Halloween season," is renowned for being the time when the Cube chose to make Loot Lake its home.

The new arrivals in this season include the Quadcrasher, Mounted Turret, and Driftboard. The latter, notably, was originally debuted in Season 7 but is making an early appearance this season. In addition to these, Epic is introducing new items and weapons-- the Double Barrel Shotgun, Clinger, Six Shooter, Chiller Trap, Port-a-Fortress， and more.

FORTNITE OG WEEK 3: SEASON 7 & SEASON 8

Upcoming Fortnite OG seasons 7 & 8 releasing from Nov. 16-23, will introduce major changes in the game's landscape including a snow biome & pirate-themed locales. New gameplay elements will add Pirate Cannon & X-4 Stormwing for quick map traversal, new items like Buried Treasure & Poison Dart Trap, and a tactical Itemized Glider Redeploy system. Additionally, firepower will be boosted by Minigun, Quad Launcher, & Flint-Knock Pistol.

Fortnite 27.10 Revived Weapons & Vehicles

The latest 27.10 update for Fortnite will initiate yet another massive renovation to the island, and it's set to reintroduce a series of timeless weapons. The Flint-Knock Pistol, Minigun, and Quad Launcher are among those confirmed to make a comeback, with let alone many others still to be announced.

In addition, gamers can anticipate the reappearance of certain vehicles, granting them fresh, or perhaps familiar, modes of transportation across the map. The X-4 Stormwing planes will be obtainable from Frosty Flights, and the Pirate Cannon will indeed allow enthusiasts to project themselves into the air.

Fortnite 27.10 Map Changes

Epic has verified that the snow biome, notable from Chapter 1 Seasons 7 and 8, will make a comeback in the Fortnite OG 27.10 update. This signifies the re-introduction of the Frosty Flights location as the island's southwestern quadrant will be enveloped by snow and ice once more. Although Happy Hamlet and Polar Peak haven't been officially announced yet, chances are they will be included in the update, following their initial appearance in Season 7.

FORTNITE OG WEEK 4: SEASON 9 & SEASON X

The last week of Fortnite OG focuses on Season 9 and 10, which was the final season of Chapter 1, happening from Thursday, November 23 through to Saturday, December 2.

As for weapons, look forward to the comeback of the Proximity Grenade Launcher, Air Strike and Heavy Sniper Rifle. Also, the items Storm Flip and Junk Rift are making a reappearance. The cherry on top? Jetpacks and The Baller, while controversial, are also making a stunning return and they're super fun to play around with.

FORTNITE SEASON OG BATTLE PASS & ITEM SHOP

Battle Pass

"A time-traveling, turbo-speed OG season means the all-new OG Pass," Epic writes in a press release. "Packed with over 50 new in-game items, you can unlock all the cosmetic rewards in the OG Pass in just four weeks. The OG Pass is purchasable for 950 V-Bucks, but you can earn up to 1000 V-Bucks by progressing in the OG Pass. Fortnite Crew Subscriber? The OG Pass is included as part of the Fortnite Crew Subscription."

Item Shop

Epic says to expect curated selections of classic, mashup, and new items in the OG Item Shop. The OG Item Shop outfits and accessories will only be available for a limited time, and new items will appear daily at 7 p.m. ET.

FORTNITE CHAPTER 4 SEASON OG RANKED

In line with previous seasons, participating in just one Ranked match within Chapter 4 Season OG is needed to disclose your rank (applicable for each Battle Royale and Zero Build match). Note that the first match serves to unveil your rank only, and subsequent performance in the match will adjust your progression indicator accordingly.

RANKED MATCHMAKING ENHANCEMENT TRIAL

High-ranked players can expect longer matchmaking times. A test protocol has been launched to fast-track entry into Ranked matches. When lobbies amass 80+ players, despite delays, the match begins. This method is under appraisal, with prospective changes to player limits and timing. The trial aims to ensure fairer competition by restricting eligible skill ranges in higher-tier matches.

STREAMLINED RANK ADVANCEMENT FOR FORTNITE OG

OG Fortnite's brevity boosts rank progression for upper/mid levels, with reduced penalties for early outs & increased progresses. Unreal achievements stay as targets. Also, Bronze players see faster progression for harmonized advancement among grouped friends."
