The April events of Pokémon Go are more than halfway done, and it's time for a week-long celebration. Last year, the game celebrated Earth Day not only on one day but for an entire week with Sustainability Week. This event aims to raise awareness about protecting the planet while offering players several activities related to this theme.
Pokémon Go Sustainability Week Event Is Going Live on April 20, 2023
The Sustainability Week event of Pokémon Go will take place from April 20th to the 26th at 8:00 pm according to local time. In the year 2022, a new character named Oranguru was introduced in the game for trainers. However, this time players can expect Bounsweet - a Fruit Pokémon that has never been seen before hopping around in the wilds. By collecting 100 Candy, gamers will also be able to obtain its evolutions known as Steenee and Tsareena.
During sustainability week, there will be specific research tasks and field challenges that include rare Pokémon only available during the event. By completing these activities, players can earn rewards as well as encounter unique Pokémon like Drilbur, Trubbish, and Bounsweet. It is rumored that some of these special Pokémon may even appear in their Shiny forms while exploring nature.
Apart from finishing tasks, there are other ways to obtain rewards. Four event bonuses will also be available to assist in this regard. If trainers have a Buddy Pokémon who is at the Great Buddy level or higher, they will bring presents wrapped in leaves that contain Berries such as Silver Pinap Berry more frequently. Conversely, if they reach Ultra status or above, souvenirs will be given out faster by their Buddy Pokémon.
Apart from the responsibilities they have, trainers can also enhance their appearance for the occasion by buying new avatar accessories that are available in the store. These items are inspired by newly introduced Pokémon and include things like Bounsweet Hat, Steenee Shirt, and Tsareena Boots.
The theme for Earth Day this year is "Invest in Our Planet". By taking part in Pokémon Go's Sustainability Week, you can contribute to raising awareness about the importance of creating a sustainable future.
