The most important Christian holiday is Easter, which Orthodox believers welcome immediately after the strictest year of Great Lent. The history of the holiday goes back to pagan times. The Christian Easter does not have a fixed date, it is celebrated between April and May, a week after the Easter full moon. The celebration lasts 40 days, but the main one is the first week, which begins with the Easter service on Sunday night.
