Sunnah ("custom; example") is a Muslim sacred tradition that sets out examples of the life of the Islamic prophet Muhammad as a model and guide for the entire Muslim community (ummah) and every Muslim. The Sunnah is the second source of Islamic law (fiqh) after the Koran and is closely related to it, explains and complements it.
