CFTIA's Play & Learn Footwear App is designed for students, entrepreneurs, and other people who wish to learn about the footwear industry.

“CFTIA’s Play and Learn-Footwear” is a Mobile App that allows the user to test and

acquire knowledge on designing, manufacturing and related areas of concern on Footwear Industry and

Trade. Central Footwear Training Institute, Agra (CFTIA) functioning under the aegis of Ministry of

MSME, Govt. of India is a pioneering institute for imparting knowledge and skill on footwear production

at Agra, the footwear hub of India. It has been developing human resource for footwear and allied

industry since its inception in 1963.

Thousands of its students are well placed in different types of the industry across the country

as well as abroad. Many alumni have started their own business enterprises in on different scales.

Footwear Manufacturing is a combination of art and science, traditional and modernity, skill and

technology-driven and ethics & culture. Considerations of basic foot dynamics, use of hundreds of

materials and accessories of different colors and textures, use of conventional to advanced machinery &

equipment, engagement of people with different skill-set and growing fashion outlook have made the

industry unique and popular in a wider spectrum. Rapid changes in fashion, upcoming new styles and

designs, increasing quality consciousness and scope of both employability and entrepreneurship add the

impetus for augmenting knowledge and skill in the sector. Every day is a new day to learn new and

advanced information on products, process, technology, infrastructure, market etc. and thus it opens

the scope of in-depth knowledge and research in the footwear field.

This Play and Learn, a mobile App is an endeavor to inculcate the information and knowledge on the

subject. This gives an opportunity to for the user to play in leisure with comprehensive but funny

questions. Multiple choice questions with time-bound answering feature create the interest of the user

with a winning attitude. Use of Life- Lines of different types develops stimulants and encourages the

player to stick on the game while testing and learning new knowledge. This creates a consistent interest

and likings towards enriching the knowledge on the footwear sector as a whole.
