In the E-number list, the food additives are considered to be safe by the authorities. Countries do not always agree on whether a certain additive is dangerous or not, therefore some additives are banned in some countries but not in others. Children are more sensitive to food additives than adults primarily because of their young age. Since their immune system is not mature yet, they tend to react more sensitively to external substances.
