The History subject for class Various historical events in this book are presented chronologically to make it easier for students to study them.

Apart from that, this book also tries to show the dynamics of various aspects of human life, for example economic, social, cultural and so on (synchronous aspects) in the historical trajectory. Through this book, students are also invited to understand the complexity of human life in the past by tracing the connections between events at the local, national and global levels.

This is in line with the Learning Outcomes (CP) in the History subject, especially in Phase F, which directs students to be able to develop various basic historical concepts that have been studied in class X to examine various historical events critically and collaboratively.

This book is prepared based on a curriculum that carries the spirit of independent learning and equips students with various 21st century skills. The history in this book is attempted to be conveyed in an interesting and contextual manner. The hope is that students will not only learn history because they are forced to, but because they are interested in various new knowledge about the past which can provide inspiration for life now and in the future. In simple terms, the history in this book is expected to be able to foster historical awareness in students which is in line with the Pancasila Student Profile.

After studying this book, students are expected to have historical concept skills, historical thinking skills, historical awareness, practical historical skills and the ability to carry out simple historical research. Therefore, this book is equipped with various materials, activities, enrichment, reflection and assessments that will help students to have and apply their skills and creativity in learning history. Readers can also explore various references in this book to study various topics further and in depth.
