I've sank about 2 years into this game. The later levels can be a bit of a grind, but it's still enjoyable. The pilots are nicely drawn and animated (with a few exceptions).

They also have a strange way of giving you bonus stats. For example. There's a Attack boost for pilots, if you get several of them up to a certain colour level. Problem is, one of the piolets is intact a VIP pilot. And you can't get to her unless you sink close to $1000 into the 12 VIP levels needed to unlock the cruise ship, hiding at LEAST 10 VIP pilots. Furthermore, there's no guarantee of getting the one you need immediately!

SO if your happy to play without certain boosts, go for it!
