Hinduism is an ancient religion. The most ancient sacred texts of the Hindu religion is Vedas.Hinduism does not just have one sacred book but several scriptures.Several lists include the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, the Ashtavakra Gita and many more.

In this app following sacred books included:-

1. Veda :- Literal meaning of the word Veda is "Knowledge" or "Wisdom", derived from the root "Vid"- "to know". The Vedas are a large body of religious texts originating in ancient India. According to tradition, 'Vyasa' is the compiler of the Vedas, who arranged the four kinds of mantras into four Samhitas. The four Vedas are:-

◆ Rigveda :- Rigveda is the first of the four Vedas. Rigveda means a Veda of praise. This Veda has several verses (hymns). This Veda is also the oldest Hindu holy book.

◆ Yajurveda :- Yajurveda is the second of the four Vedas. Yajurveda means the Veda of the Yajus. Yajus were mantras sung during religious activities.

◆ Samaveda :- Samaveda means the Veda of sacred songs. They were sung by the Hindu priests and other Hindus during religious activities.

◆ Atharvaveda :- Atharvaveda is the fourth of the four Vedas. The Atharvaveda holds key for the massive vedic knowledge on the sciences like medicine, sorcery and has many facts that the present generation is still trying to crack.

2. Upanishads :- The Upanishads are the end part of the Vedas which briefly expound the philosophic principles of the Vedas and are considered the essence of the Vedas. Upanishads are also called Vedanta. There are total 108 Upanishads according to the Muktika Upanishad.

3. Bhagavad Gita:- The Gita lucidly explains the nature of consciousness, the self, and the universe. It is the essence of India's spiritual wisdom.Bhagavad Gita, is a part of the 5th Veda (written by Vedavyasa - ancient Indian saint) and Indian Epic - Mahabharata. It was narrated for the first time in the battle of Kurukshetra, by Lord Krishna to Arjun. The Bhagavad Gita, also referred to as Gita, is a 700–verse Dharmic scripture that is part of the ancient Sanskrit epic Mahabharata. This scripture contains a conversation between Pandava prince Arjuna and his guide Krishna on a variety of philosophical issues.

4. The Ashtavakra Gita :- It is classical Advaita Vedanta scripture. It is written as a dialogue between the sage Ashtavakra and Janaka, king of Mithila. The Gita insists on the complete unreality of external world and absolute oneness of existence. It does not mention any morality or duties, and therefore is seen by commentators as 'godless'. Ashtavakra Gita is a special Vedanta scripture of Indian spiritual history, We extremely recommends this book especially for the serious seekers must be studied once in life. Like Bhagavad Gita, this book has a deep spiritual dialogue between Guru Ashtavakra and the disciple Raja Janak, for salvation and philosophy.
