History of the Latto-latto Game

Latto-latto is said to have existed since the 1960s and was loved at its time. However, in 1960-1970, these toys were made of glass, causing incidents of eye injuries in a number of children in the United States (US).

This incident prompted the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ban lattos from circulation in 1966.

Because of that, lattoes were finally made of plastic, although they could still break. At least, the risks arising from lattoes made of plastic are not as big as those made of glass.
