And sometimes entitely different content filters over to Global rather than keep it exactly the same but slower than the Japanese release schedule. Love them both though! And if you know you buttons from the English version, you're good to go. Reading the cards can be overwhelming at first but you eventually learn the format and can tell see a glance if they're a scorer, timer, or healer. Knowing your Kana helps as well and this game has actually ingrained certain KANJI in my mind through repetition! And I could barely remember a handful of kanji from my high school classes. Katakana and hiragana slow up a bunch though obviously and most card skill names are written in katakana transliteration of English words and phrases. Also there are various databases to look up every card anyway so no big deal. I'm just saying the language barrier didn't impede me. But if you want to understand the story, that's what Global is for lol.
