Play and learn to recognize the healthy foods with Uga the Turtle!

Play Mensa di Uga is the game created by the Municipality of Florence in collaboration with Muse Firenze and with the support of Cirfood, Camst, Elior, Dussman and Eutourist that involves and leads small players to discover the path food takes to get to the tables of the refectories and sensitize children to a conscious and pleasant consumption of food.

Play Mensa is a hub of games and activities that introduce the following topics:

- Short chain: let children discover where the raw materials that are used every day for preparing meals come from;

- Organization: who is in charge of defining the menu? How is it structured? Who cooks the meals that every day end up on the tables of the children of the Municipality of Florence?

- Variety and curiosity of the dishes: convey the importance of tasting through games. Make it clear to children that it is important to always taste all the dishes on the menu.

- Waste: in every single game and activity the message to be communicated is that every crumb has value and nothing should be wasted, even and especially at school!
