Mihai Eminescu, întreaga operă

Free application containing the entire work of Mihai Eminescu.

On the occasion of the Centenary of the Great Union, the European Center for Ethnic Studies of the Romanian Academy, the Non-Family Association and the Romanian Association of Geopolitics, Geoeconomics and Geoculture initiated the free re-launch of the Eminescu works in digital format for the general public. The project is carried out with the support of the Romanian Academy, which granted the necessary copyrights.

Mihai Eminescu is the full man of Romanian culture, and the Romanian Academy is the sanctuary in which his Opera is taken care of. That is why the application offered is a sign of maturity of the contemporary Romanian society which, overcoming its routine preoccupations, rediscovers one of the pillars of its perenniality.

Opera is divided into sections and volumes:

1. Poems (I-V)

2. Popular Literature (VI)

3. Literary Prose (VII)

4. Theater (VIII)

5. Journalism (IX-XIII)

6. Philosophical translations (XIV)

7. Fragmentarium and Addenda (XV)

8. Correspondence (XVI)

Currently, volumes or chapters that are not in the form of photos are available, and in subsequent versions of the application they are also added.

The application has a relatively flexible search engine focused on keywords or phrases that work both within each volume and throughout the work. At the same time, there is a database called "advanced search", where the entire work can be grouped according to the locality in which it was first printed, the year of the first publication or the volume of the present edition.

The quote of the day, which, whenever possible, is published today in a quote from the day of the year of the historical publication is intended to anchor the reader in the epoch, but especially in the Eminescu Opera.

Through such technologies, Mihai Eminescu and his entire opera can reach the phone of every user, regardless of the time available or training: from novice users (pupils, students, or ordinary people) interested in a partial reading up to to experienced users (intellectuals, academics, researchers) who want to analyze the texts from a scientific point of view.

By using the app, the audience will be able to overcome the cliches often associated with Eminescu's name, and will thus discover a major landmark and a distinct national consciousness. In his writings he established the definitive framework of the Romanian literary language and contributed to the development of numerous fields: the poetic work represents 5 volumes out of 16, while the publishing (vol. IX-XIII), to which we add the Fragmentarium (volume XV ) is an important part of his work. The rest of the writings consist of prose, theater, correspondence and folk literature. Eminescu was an attentive collector of folk literature, due to a great part of the childhood fairy tales, but he was also aware of the universal literature of the great ancient civilizations, with contemporary analyzes alongside them, with the latest theories of economic, linguistic, and not only. Of particular interest are its analyzes of the mechanism of development and underdevelopment. We will find at Eminescu the preconfigured system of modern dependency theories, which are very useful for understanding the placement of a society in the world order. Its paradigm of negative growth through the negative selection of the elites, the law of compensation, is still high. The reader with the acute sense of the daily will be found in the extraordinary acuity and topicality analyzes.
