The introduction of initial playlists for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile marks a significant growth for the series, combining battle royale elements with classic 6v6 game modes. This highly anticipated entry in the Call of Duty franchise sets itself apart with new features that were not present in the previous installment, Call of Duty Mobile.
Over a year after its initial tease, Activision confirmed that Warzone Mobile will be out on March 21. This was announced back in February. They highlighted some big features such as linking progress with the first Warzone and Modern Warfare 3, full support for game controllers, and bringing back the famous Verdansk map. Before the main release, some places got to try an early version, showing off great graphics on smartphones with good specs.
Recently, Activision shared on the Call of Duty website what players can expect for game modes when it launches. There's the standard Battle Royale for up to 120 players, and a Mobile Royale for faster fights, more tasks, and better loot, all happening in Verdansk. Another mode, Rebirth Resurgence, happens on Rebirth Island, where players can come back into the game during the battle if certain conditions are met. The game also has Call of Duty's traditional 6v6 fights in Mosh Pit and Shoot the Ship modes with maps like Scrapyard, El Asilo, Hotel, Shipment, and Shoot House.

Activision is set to regularly update the game selections in Warzone Mobile, similar to the regular changes made in Warzone and Modern Warfare 3. The game will let players link their progress and battle pass rewards between different devices. If you've already bought the battle pass in Call of Duty, you'll find it ready to use in Warzone Mobile with everything you've earned so far. Also, when Warzone Mobile comes out, players will have a chance to get five special items from the Season 2 battle pass, but these will only be available in the mobile version.
Activision has also shared details about how to control the game in Warzone Mobile. Players can use the touchscreen, the Backbone One controller, or any Bluetooth controller, like the Xbox or PlayStation controllers. The Backbone One, which costs $99, is suggested because it works best with the game. However, players can still choose other Bluetooth controllers if they don't mind a possible delay in response time.
