Google Pay Announced The Support for Rupay Credit Card Payment
The leader of the Google Pay development team confirmed their support for Rupay Credit Card-based UPI payment and announced that this update will bring users more benefits and convenience on payments. “This feature will give Google Pay users more flexibility and choice in making payments, and will drive greater adoption of digital payments in the country,” said Sharath Bulusu, Director of Product Management from Google.
How Many Indian Banks Have Accepted Rupay Credit Card Payments?
RuPay credit card holders of 8 banks in India can now make their payments on Google Pay. The Eight banks that have been added to the roll list till now are Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, HDFC Bank, Indian Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Punjab National Bank and Union Bank of India. And more Indian banks will be added to that bank list in the near future. So how to start a Rupay credit card payment on Google Pay?
How to Use Rupay Credit Card to Make Payments on Google Pay?
It's very simple. All you need to do is turn on the “RuPay credit card on UPI” option on your personal profile page. After toggling on the "UPI payment " option, users will need to select the bank they opened the credit card, and enter the last six numbers of their card ID and the PIN code. Additionally, Rupay credit card users can go to the "Settings" menu in Google Pay and add their Rupay Cards to the card options.
