The Pokémon Company has started a limited-time open beta test for their new game, Pokémon Sleep, on Android in specific areas. These tests will continue for two more days and end on July 13th.
Pokémon Sleep aims to turn sleep into entertainment
The Pokémon Company initially revealed Pokémon Sleep as a companion for the Pokemon GO Plus+ in 2019. Originally planned to be released on June 14, 2023, it has now been rescheduled and will instead launch in late July of this year.
In this exciting journey, you will explore the sleeping habits of Pokémon by conducting research. You will work closely with the island's inhabitants, including the powerful Snorlax and the esteemed Professor Neroli, who is devoted to studying different ways Pokémon sleep. The game allows fans of the franchise to analyze their own sleep patterns while accompanied by their beloved Pokémon.
To participate, just place your smartphone close to your pillow before going to bed and it will record and analyze your sleep. The length of time you sleep directly affects the score you receive in the morning, with longer sleep leading to higher scores. There are also various patterns identified such as Curled or Droopy-Eared. Pokemon GO Plus+ helps keep track of this cycle for you.
