The Sybase Data Provider application enables mobile applications built on the Sybase Unwired Platform (SUP) encrypted storage of data using the SUP DataVault. SUP built applications, utilizing DataVault, can offer secure persistent storage of on-device certificates, database encryption keys, passwords, and other sensitive items. The contents of the DataVault are strongly encrypted using AES-256 and if desired can be shared across multiple SUP applications.
The Sybase Data Provider application ONLY provides Android users benefit when a mobile application, built using SUP that leverages it is also installed on the Android Device (e.g. Sybase Mobile Sales for SAP CRM).
