After a long stay in Seville, young Ibn 'Arabi often traveled to various places in Spain and North Africa. He took the opportunity to visit leading Sufi teachers and scholars at the time. At Kordova he met Ibn Rushd, an old Aristotelian philosopher. In this city he also taught al-Qur'an, hadith and fiqh to Ibn Hazm adh-Dhahiri, a student who mastered the discipline of fiqh who later succeeded in establishing the Madzab adh-Dhahiri. Among his students was Abu Bakr bin Khalaf. The name Ibn 'Arabi soared, his position became stronger in the hearts of the people.

This Sufi figure who is descended from the ancient Arab tribe of Tha, has written many books that have become the treasures of Islamic knowledge, where only a few of these books can reach our hands. He is the most prolific writer. Some say that his work has more than eight hundred titles, and some say four hundred titles. Even if there is a difference in the number mentioned, which is clear, has shown its productivity in producing scientific works. Among his most monumental writings in the field of Sufism-philosophy are "al-Futuhat al-Makkiyyah" and "Fushush al-Hikam.

Kitab al-Futuhat al-Makkiyyah was compiled in Mecca in 598 H / 1202 AD. According to his confession, this book was dictated by God through angels who conveyed inspiration. Meanwhile, the book Fushush al-Hikam - even though it is relatively short - is Ibn 'Arabi's most widely read and given sharah (explanation), because it is the most difficult to understand. This work was composed ten years before he died, and according to his confession, this work was received from the Prophet Muhammad. Who ordered to spread it, so that mankind can take advantage of it.

In addition to the two most monumental books, he also wrote countless books, for example Masyahid al-Asrar al-Qudsiyyah, Muhadharat al-Abrar wa Musamarat al-Akhyar, Kasyf al-Ma'na Siiri Asma'illah al- Husna, "Anqa'Maughrib, Raudhah al-Asyiqin, Syajaratul-Kaun and others.

Syajaratul-Kaun, the little book in the reader's hand is the work of Ibn 'Arabi which describes his doctrine about the Person of the Prophet Muhammad. In this work, he discusses the uniqueness of the Prophet Muhammad. In relation to Allah, human beings and nature as a whole are symbolized by the "TREE" which emerges from a "KUN" seed.
