In Yoga philosophy, the Universal Life Energy is referred to as Prana.

The Reiki healer passes on the energy to the receiver by placing his hands on the receiver if the receiver is physically present or to a receiver in a far-off place through a method called Distant Reiki Healing.

Reiki flows through the receiver’s affected parts of the body and revitalizes it and clears the energy pathways. It helps the Life Energy to flow in a natural way.
