As stated by the author, Imam an-Nawawy, in the preamble to this book, Riyadhus Shalihin is intended to collect authentic hadiths, which can be a guide to the afterlife; guidance on inner and outer etiquette; collecting suggestions and threats, mental training, moral upbringing, heart medicine, body maintenance and so on.
