Just like in the Mario games, if you collect 100 gold coins
you will earn an extra life. Extra lives are also often stored
in the gold clover blocks. If you run out of lives, it’s not really a big deal,
but you will have to start at the beginning of the last level that you played,

If you lose a life, you will have to start over at the checkpoint.
