Create your own Audio-Phrasebook or Dictionary!

Phrasebook! is a Talking Dictionary that lets you immediately communicate with people in their own, native language. You can download and install so called LanguagePacks [LPKs] and extend them with your own recordings or create your own Phrasebook from scratch.

Phrasebook offers two operating modes:

PLAY ONLY MODE

- Tab a phrase or word and the App will play a prerecorded audio track in response.

- Phrases and words are grouped into Categories like First Contact, General Conversation etc.

- Keep words and phrases that you want to work with more intensively in your Favorites list.

LEARN, CREATE AND PLAY MODE

- Build your own, personal audio-dictionaries from scratch.

- Extend commercial audio-phrasebooks with your own content/recordings.

- Directly switch to Play Only Mode and back (see above).

SPECIAL FEATURES

- Does not depend on an Internet connection and can be used offline.

- Content you've created can be exported and re-imported at any time, even on a different phone.

- Whatever you create is stored in a database on your phone.

- Phrasebook! can serve virtually any language on our planet, with collections of phrases and translations (so-called LanguagePacks) that you can create by yourself.

- Powerful, easy-to-use Data Manager (DM) to create and edit your collection of phrases, words and voice-recordings at any time. It gives you total freedom to create your personal phrasebook, step by step, at your own pace. You may create and store a list of phrases or words tonight and record matching voice-tracks only once you've found a native speaker who can assist you with that. Needless to say that this might provide some great opportunities to engage and have fun with local people!

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?

- Translations are grouped into categories. Category lists can be created and edited with the help of our Listr! App. Listr! creates JSON-files that can be imported seamlessly into Phrasebook!

- Phrasebook can import lists of categories created by Listr! directly (without the need to import a JSON-File). This new function is called "Import via CP" [ContentProvider] - kind of magic!
