This book is about how to achieve true divine love

Indeed among the reasons that can bring the love of Allah to a servant is reading the Qur'an with solemnity ’and trying to understand it. So it is not surprising, if the closeness to the Qur'an is an embodiment of worship that can bring the love of God.

The salafush-shalih, when reading the Qur'an, they deeply appreciate this meaning. So when reading the Qur'an, it is as if a foreigner is reading a letter from his lover.

Al Hasan al Basri said, "Verily, the people before you consider al-Qur'an to be letters from their Rabb. At night, they always reflect on it, and will try to look for it during the day. "[1]

If we think, truly this is an extraordinary feature. Allah is the Greatest, the Most High, the King of the King, specializing His bible (speech) and kalam for humans who are full of this weakness. God gave them the glory to talk, communicate with Him.

Al Imam Ibnul Jauzi said, "Someone who reads the Qur'an, should see how Allah is gentle to His creatures in conveying the meaning of His words to their understanding. And he should realize, what he is reading is not human words. He should be aware of the greatness of the Essence that speaks it, and he should contemplate His words. "[2]

Ibn Shalah said, "Reading the Qur'an is a glory that Allah gives to His servants. And it is reported in the history that angels did not get this glory, but they were very enthusiastic to hear it from humans. "[3]

This glory will be more perfect if accompanied by sincerity. Because sincerity-as said by Imam Nawawi-is a major obligation for the reader of the Qur'an. And he should have realized, that he is praising Allah. [4]

Pay attention, O my brother!

God has given you permission to worship Him. Thus, it means that God has given the secret of His love to you. And the Qur'an, is evidence of His love. Because the Qur'an provides guidance about Allah and His beloved. So, of course love for Him is a way of heart and mind to know the attributes of God and the things He loves. Through the Qur'an, we can know His names, what is appropriate and not appropriate for Him, and (know) in detail the shari'a that Allah commands and forbids, and deliver someone to His love and pleasure.
