DIY Wooden Toys

I would like to share some of my favorite projects!

Thought it was wonderful! No plastic - no wondering what chemicals he may be ingesting while chewing on it.

We are not following any particular educational philosophy in our house, but I have always been interested in reading about different alternative approaches, and it is worth mentioning that the wood has its place in many of them.

Some of them, like the one involving wooden blocks, are very simple and do not require the use of any tools, and some, like full-sized dollhouses, will take a few evenings to finish, but will leave you with an heirloom-quality Gift.

Emilia schools all acknowledge wooden toys for their natural aesthetic value. I find the wood very beautiful and pleasant to play with!

I did not even worry about washing it all the time as wood has natural antibacterial properties. It was a very simple cutout, and its simplicity was inspiring.
