This version of the Bible represents fully and unmodified the biblical text revised by Metropolitan Bartholomew and approved by the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

The Romanian language of this edition is the clearest and most appropriate for a modern reader who does not always have access to the theological and philological subtleities of the Bible.

On the eve of Christmas of the year 1990, the Bible began to work (revision), beginning with the New Testament text, which was later extended to the whole of the Sacred Scripture for eleven years. It was published in 2001.
